Account Profiles & Permissions

On the DVOX Manager, four types of account profiles exist with different permission levels. Choose the appropriate type based on the user’s role in your organization.


Account Types

Distributor

Use for: Sales professionals involved in DVOX device distribution.

Can perform:

  • Create TECH accounts
  • Create HOST accounts
  • Create AV PRO accounts
  • Manage inventory

AV Pro

Use for: Audio-visual professionals responsible for DVOX device setup and configuration.

Can perform:

  • Create TECH accounts
  • Create HOST accounts
  • Manage inventory

Host

Use for: Venue management team members. This is the primary operational account type with all privileges.

Can perform:

  • Manage inventory ✓
  • Create events ✓
  • Manage events ✓
  • Assign controller to stream ✓
  • Create TECH accounts ✓
  • Get and print reports ✓

Tech

Use for: Event creation, setup, and stream management. Exclusive to event and stream operations.

Can perform:

  • Create events ✓
  • Manage events ✓
  • Assign controller to stream ✓
  • Get and print reports ✓

Recommended Setup for Venues

Small Venues

  • 1 Host account — Venue manager
  • 1-2 Tech accounts — Event operators

Medium Venues

  • 1-2 Host accounts — Venue management team
  • 3-5 Tech accounts — Event operators by shift/department

Large Venues

  • 2-3 Host accounts — Management, operations, tech lead
  • 5-10 Tech accounts — Event operators distributed by venue area
  • Optional: 1 AV Pro account for technical setup and maintenance

ℹ️

**Best Practice:** Keep Host accounts limited to management only. Use Tech accounts for day-to-day event operations. This ensures proper separation of administrative and operational duties.
