Account Management

Managing Existing Accounts

From the Account section, you can manage and edit your sub-accounts.


Accessing Account Settings

  1. Click Accounts in the navigation menu
  2. Find your desired account in the list
  3. Click the pen icon (edit button) on the right side of the account row
  4. You’ll be sent to the Account Settings page

Account Settings Page

The Account Settings page provides access to several management functions:

Edit Account Information

Click the Edit button (green) at the top to modify:

  • Name
  • Company
  • Phone
  • Address information
  • Other account details

ℹ️

Changes take effect immediately. The user doesn't need to re-login.

Controller Pool

View a list of available DVOX controllers assigned to this account.

  • See all controllers available to this user
  • Add additional controllers to the account
  • View controller status and details

Reset Account Password

Click the Reset Account Password button to force a password reset.

⚠️

If a user forgot their password, they can: 1. Try the "Forgot Password" link on dvox.live/admin 2. Have a Host/Distributor account reset it forcibly using this button

Disable Account

Click the Disable button to prevent this account from logging in.

Use cases:

  • User is no longer with the organization
  • Temporary deactivation during leave
  • Security concerns

⚠️

Disabled accounts cannot log in, but can be re-enabled later. All data is preserved.

Delete Account

Click the Delete button (red) to permanently remove the account.

⚠️

**Permanent Action:** Deleting an account cannot be undone. The account will be completely removed from the system. Only delete accounts that will never be needed again.

Bulk Actions

At the top of the accounts list, you can:

  1. Select multiple accounts using checkboxes
  2. Use Bulk Actions dropdown to:
    • Disable multiple accounts at once
    • Apply changes to groups of users

Lock/Unlock Account

Individual accounts can be locked or unlocked using the lock icon:

  • Locked — User cannot log in (similar to disabled)
  • Unlocked — User can log in normally

This is useful for temporary access control without full deletion.


Account Status Indicators

  • Green badge — Account is active and can log in
  • Red badge — Account is disabled or locked
  • User icon — Account type indicator
  • Number — Inventory count assigned to this account

Tips for Account Management

  • Regular audits — Periodically review active accounts to clean up inactive users
  • Document changes — Keep notes on why accounts were disabled or deleted
  • Test permissions — After creating accounts, log in as that user to verify permissions work as expected
  • Backup access — Always keep at least 2 active Host accounts for administrative functions
